One of the biggest aspects lacking in athletes program is strength training. Many athletes put in a tremendous amount of work in the off-season working on specific skills to get ready for their sport, but lack a strong base to improve strength, explosiveness, and injury prevention during the season. Gym’s try to break out lots of fancy looking tools that look good, but provide very little return to athletic performance. Strength training combined with olympic movements should be the foundation of any athletes training program out of season. These movements performed with proper coaching and technique are what will help you maximize your athletic potential on the field, court, or any sport involving explosive and athletic movements.
