One of the biggest aspects lacking in athletes program is strength training. Many athletes put in a tremendous amount of work in the off-season focusing on specific skills to get ready for their sport, but lack a strong base to improve strength, explosiveness, and injury prevention during the season. Other gyms break out a lot of fancy equipment that looks good, but provides very little return to athletic performance. Strength training combined with Olympic movements should be the foundation of ANY athlete’s out of season training program. These movements performed with proper coaching and technique are what will help you maximize your athletic potential on the field, court, or any sport involving explosive and athletic movements.
